Cloyce E. May


Funeral services for Cloyce E. May, 55, of Route 2, Wellston, were held Sunday at the J.P. Rogers Funeral Home in Wellston. The Reverends Ron and Char Hill officiated at the funeral, and interment was made in Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Coalton. Mr. May died early Thursday morning from injuries he received in a railroad accident. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Greenfield Medical Center, Greenfield Ohio. Mr. May was a brakeman for the Chesapeake and Ohio ("Chessie") Railroad, and he was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Born August 18, 1929, he was the son of Nannie Dickerson May and the late Cecil May. Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by a son, Jimmy, who died in June 1984. Mr. May is survived by his wife, Doris Ann Pittman May; son, Paul; and daughter, Julia, at home. Also survivng are mother and step-father, Nanny and Frank Hill of Wellston; sisters, Betty Hayburn and Virginia Specht of Wellston, and Detha Pinkus, of Akron; brothers, Wilmont, Harrison and Damon Hill of Wellston; Marion Hill of Londonderry; Larry Hill, of Cambridge; Frankie Hill, of Coshocton; and Gene Hill of Chillicothe.
