Charles F. Kight


Charles F. Kight, 80, of Triumph Street, Jackson, passed away Monday, April 17, 2000, at the Oak Hill Community Medical Center, Oak Hill. Born February 16, 1920, in Jackson, he was the son of the late John and Margaret Lambert Kight. He was a 38-year employee of the DT and E Railroad and was a former councilman and trustee. He was a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Jackson Christian Church, the Beaver VFW, the American Legion Post 81, AMVets of Chillicothe, the Civil Service Commission, the Veterans Commission, and was a former member of the Metropolitan Housing Authority. He is survived by his wife, June Dickason Kight, to whom he had been married for nearly 54 years; a son, Robert Kight of Jackson; a daughter, Jill Baldwin of Jackson; sisters Marjorie Fleichman of Fairborne, Ohio, and Kathryn Givens of Cocoa Beach, LA; grandchildren Christy Parks of Wellston, Michael (Lori) Zinn of Jackson, David (Michelle) Kight of Jackson; and great-grandchildren Derik Zinn and Nathan and Lauren Parks. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kight was preceded in death by sisters Betty Kight and Evelin Kight and brother Robert Kight. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 19 at 2:p.m. at the Jackson Christian Church with Pastor Roger Channell and Kathryn Loxley officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery, Jackson
