Levi Jolly


Levi M. Jolly, 85 and a resident of Route 3, Wellston, passed away Wednesday morning at Holzer Medical Center following a one-week illness. Born in Vinton county, he was a well-known farmer in Milton Township and a retired school bus driver. He was WWII Veteran, a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, Black Diamond Lodge No. 538, F&AM, and a past member of the Jackson County Fair Board. Son of the late George and Martha Huston Jolly, he was also preceded in death by two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Vivian Faye Phillips Jolly; three sons, Loren of Wheelersburg and Rex and Max of Route 1, Wellston; two sisters, Eva June Stark of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Blanche Adcock of Palo Alto, California; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Jenkins Funeral Chapel with Reverends A.B. Maloy and Jorge Anido officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Friends called at the funeral home on Thursday.
