Sarah E. Ingalls Taken Thursday

Mrs. Sarah Ingalls of Wellston passed away Thursday morning at the Wellston Nursing Home. She was 82 years old and had lived most of her life in Wellston. She was born in Jackson County September 20, 1883, the daughter of Jessie [sic; Jesse] and Eliza Yarrington Collins. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Ward of McArthur and Mrs. Cyrus Davis of Wellston and five sons, Raymond, Charles and William Ingalls, all of Wellston; Clarence Ingalls, Greenville; Robert Ingalls, Rensselear, Indiana. There are 25 surviving grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Patton and Mrs. Edith Warner of Wellston, and three brothers, James, Homer and Fred Collins, all of Wellston. Her husband, John, one son and one daughter are deceased. Mrs. Ingalls was a member of the Daughters of America, the White Dove Council 153 of Wellston. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Simons Chapel with Rev. O. F. Gibbs officiating. Burial was made in Ridgewood cemetery under the direction of Francis T. Simons.
