JACK HICKMAN DIES SATURDAY

Retired Farmer Is Taken By Heart Attack

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock in the Pleasant Valley church for Zachariah (Jack) Hickman, 68-year-old retired Waverly farmer, who was found dead as the result of a heart attack Saturday morning. Mr. Hickman, a native of Jackson county, had come over from Waverly to visit near his old family home at Limerick when he suffered the heart attack. He was found dead in the lane near Jack Hickman's residence. Mr. Hickman is survived by his wife, Margaret, of Columbus, three sons, Allen and Zachariah, Jr. of Columbus and John of Waverly; five daughters, Evelyn Finch of Jackson, Alice Markham of Columbus, Clarice Cunningham of Chillicothe, and Martha Schauseil and Maribelle Drenner of Waverly, and one sister, Violet Terry of Columbus. The body was taken from the Don Sperry funeral home Monday noon to the Eagen funeral home at Waverly where it remained until services are conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Pleasant Valley church with Elder Roy Beatty officiating. Interment was made in the Hickman cemetery under the direction of the Don Sperry funeral service.
