MINE ACCIDENT BROUGHT DEATH

Herschel Hayburn Killed Tuesday at Derwent

While working in the mines at Derwent, Herschel Hayburn, who moved from this county eight years ago, was killed by a fall of slate Tuesday. The unfortunate man was 36 years old and is survived by his wife, who was Anna Zinn, and by six children, Lemis, 15, Lucile, 14, Charlotte, 12, Mildred, 9, Ellen, 7, and Beulah, 4. He is also survived by his father, Lewis Hayburn, living east of Wellston, five sisters, Margaret at home, Mrs. Donald Bartoe and Mrs. Wm. Collins of this city, Mrs. E. E. Saltsman of Mulga and Mrs. Ed Stevens of Jacksonville, and one half brother, Safford Braley of Wellston. The body will be brought here to the home of Mrs. Bartoe on South Massachusetts avenue tomorrow but the funeral arrangements have not been completed.
