Darrell Hickman

Darrell Hickman, 87, of Savageville Road, Jackson, Ohio, died at his home on Thursday, March 30, 1995. Born April 17, 1907 in Jackson, he was the son of the late Morris and Leora Bowman Hickman. Also preceding him in death was one son, Harland. Mr. Hickman was a member of the Richmond Dale Church of God, and was a retired railroad employee. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (Martin) Hickman; four sons, Darrell "Billy" Hickman, Melvin Hickman, Carrol Hickman and Don Hickman, all of Jackson; one brother, John Hickman of Ray; two sisters, Sue Acord of Bethel and Maxine Sloturnski of Roseville, Mich.; 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Mayhew Funeral Home Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held there at 1 p.m. Saturday, with the Reverend John Evans officiating. Burial will be in Hickman Cemetery.
