Russel D. Greene

Russel D. Greene, 47, died Monday night at his home on Route 3 after suffering a heart attack. He was owner and operator of GreeneÕs Store here. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Savageville Methodist Church. He was born in Jackson on Feb. 17, 1918, to Thurman and Lottie Ross Greene. He is survived by his wife, Georgia, three sons, Jerry, Terry, and Dickie, and two daughters, Deborah and Anne, all at home; two brothers, Ivan of Ft. Worth, Tex., and George of Jackson; and a sister, Mrs. Darrell Mullins of Jackson. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, in the Sperry Funeral Home here with burial in Evergreen Cemetery here. Friends may call any time Wednesday at the funeral home.
