Helen M. Fain


Helen M. (VanBibber) Fain, age 81, of Springfield and formerly of Wellston, went to be with her Lord and with her beloved Shin at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001. She was born in Wellston, Ohio, on June 1, 1920, the daughter of Arthur and Nellie (Gray) VanBibber. She is survived by four children and spouses, William H. and Barbara Fain, Jr., Donald L. and Connie Fain, Kathy Beth and Walter Pete Williams, all of Springfield, and Arnold E. Corky and Marilyn Fain of Lawton, Okla; eleven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Joann VanBibber of Upper Sandusky, Ronald and Janice VanBibber of Orlando, Fla; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Burneda and Howard Flannery of Chillicothe and Hilda Montgomery of Hamden, Ohio and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William H. Shin Fain in 1983; two brothers, Gould and Arthur VanBibber; two sisters, Verona Stevens Bishop, Colis VanBibber, and a great-grandson, Tyler Andrew Fain. Friends called from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the Conroy Funeral Home. Funeral Services were held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Bonny Kinnunen officiating. Family received friends at the church a half hour prior to the service. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
