Evelyn Finch, 90, formerly of Columbus, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2000, at her home. Born July 14, 1940 [sic, 1910] in Pike County, she was a homemaker and a member of Christ United Methodist Church, of Jackson. An avid quilter, she was a member of the Buckeye Quilters and Jackson County Senior Citizen Quilters. She was preceded in death by husband Franklin L. Finch; parents Jack and Maggie Terry Hickman; son Joseph Finch; three brothers and one sister. She is survived by daughter, Melva (Edward) Evans, of Jackson; son, Donald (Carol) Finch, of Westerville; sisters, Alice Markham, of Columbus, Martha Schauseil, of Waverly, Clarice Cunningham, of Chillicothe; brother, Jack Hickman, of Westerville; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Tuesday September 5, 2000, 11 a.m. at Eisnaugle-Lewis Funeral Home, Jackson, Ohio, where friends may call Monday, September 4, from 4-6 p.m. Diaconal Minister Janie Karl officiating. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery.
