Gertrude Mae Ellifritt

Gertrude Mae (Mercer) Ellifritt, Friday, November 17, 2000, at Rosegate Care Center. Daughter of Andrew Jackson Mercer and Stella Fitzpatrick Mercer (Stancliff), she was born June 12, 1901, in the Liberty area of Jackson, OH.

She was preceded in death by husband Guy Ellifritt, five brothers and one sister, and is survived by son, Gerald Richard (Carol) Ellifritt; daughter, Geraldine E. (Jeffrie) Demos; grandsons, Michael Jeffrie (Bernie) Demos, Timothy Gerald (Brenda) Ellifritt, Thomas Richard (Lori) Ellifritt, Todd Alan Ellifritt; granddaughters, Brenda Suzanne Demos, Lizabeth Anne (Gregg) Poth; great-grandsons, John Jeffrie (Kelly) Demos, Joshua Allen Poth, Joshua Ellifritt, Alex Ellifritt; great-granddaughters, Adeana Demos, Olivia Kearns, Jessica Poth; sister-in-law, Dorothy Mercer of Tampa, Fla.; many nephews and nieces in OH, FL and TX.

Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 20, 2000, Pastor George Wright officiating, with burial at McCune Cemetery, Jackson, OH. Arrangements are under the direction of Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, Worthington Chapel, 515 High St., Worthington, OH.

To a beautiful garden our Mother has gone,
To the land of perfect rest.
Her work is done and the setting sun
Has sealed her life's long quest.
She has left this earthly garden,
For a home beyond the seas,
Though she is gone,
She still lives on
In the garden of memories.
