Ann T. Edwards


Mrs. Ann T. Edwards, born on Hewitt's Fork in Jefferson Township on 12 Jun 1858, died at her sister's home (Mrs. John C. Edwards) near Moriah, 07 Aug 1911, at the age of 53 years, 1 month and 25 days. She was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Morgan. She was fourth of eight children -- 2 died in childhood. Her eldest sister, Mrs. Evan C. Davis, died at Ironton in the fall of 1884. Her brother, William T. Morgan, died at Oklahoma in December 1907. Surviving are Hon. Stephen Morgan, now in Wales, Moses T. Morgan at the old home place, and her youngest sister (Mary Jane) where she died. She married 10 May 1882 to Jenkin Edwards. She had 7 children (3 sons and 4 daughters; 2 of them, 1 boy and 2 girls, died of diptheria in May, 1893). In May 1900, her husband died. Surviving children are Daniel Everett, Isaac Hayden, Elizabeth Blodwen and Jane Gladys. The funeral was at Moriah, conducted by Rev. Rees Edwards, a nephew of the deceased, assisted by Fevs. W.R. Evans, Rowland Jones, David Thomas, R.O. Williams, and W.H. Davies. Flower bearers were nieces of the deceased: Misses Marianna and Pearl Davis, Mary Edna Edwards and Mary Grace Morgan. Pall bearers were John H. Edwards and W.A.B. Jones of Columbus, and the nephews of the deceased: D. Robert Williams, Thomas Saunders Edwards, Wendell Morgan and Thomas E. Morgan.
