Von Eugene Doles

Death by a serious accident has stretched forth his hand and taken from our midst one of our loved ones.

Von Eugene Doles, son of Simon and Eva Clark Doles, was born at Ray, Ohio on November 12, 1926, and departed this life at the Berger Hospital in Circleville on June 4, 1948, at the age of 21 years.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his Mother, Mrs. Eva Doles of Ray; his father Simon Doles of Athens, Ohio and two brothers, Rollo E. and Clifford L. Doles of Chillicothe, six nephews, three neices and a host of other relatives and friends.

Von was a quiet but kind and loving person and well liked by all those he came in contact with. He was employed at the Mead Corporation since his return from the Armed Forces. He served as a signalman in the infantry for 21 months of which the last year was spent in Japan.

Dear one, you have left us
How we hate to see you go
And our hearts are crushed with sorrow
And our eyes with tears o'er flow.

But we hope one day to meet you
In the land so fair and bright
Where the Lord wipes all our tears away
And there never comes no night.

We wish to express our sincere thanks to every one who in any way helped us in the loss our son and brother. We thank each one for the floral offerings, Rev. Ted Mendenhall for his consoling words, and Mrs. McKee for her hymns and Mr. Root for his efficient service.
