Raymond F. Davis


Raymond F. Davis, 80, of State Route 93, Jackson, passed away at his home on Friday, July 19, 2002. He was born in Jackson, March 10,1922, to the late William A. (Carpenter Bill) and Dora (Stricklen) Davis. Raymond was an World War II veteran, member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Jackson, member of the Jackson Rotary Club with 50 years perfect attendance, was on the board of directors and club historian and also awarded a Paul Harris Fellow. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge, American Legion, and VFW, past member and officer of the Wagon Wheelers Square Dance Club, former car salesman for many years and retired in 1987 from the Sanitary Commercial Services as a sales representative. He is survived by daughter Stephanie (Randy) Farrar of Jackson, also grandsons, Greg and Justin Farrar, also of Jackson; four nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by wife Minetta on May 25, 2002, sister, Anna Mae Jenkins; brothers, John, Clarence, Waldo, and Milford Davis. Funeral services will be Sunday, July 21, at 2 p.m. at the Eisnaugle=Lewis Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Boggs officiating. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery with Military Services by the Disabled Americans Chapter 45. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 20 at the funeral home.
