Melvin J. "Bill" Denney

Melvin J. "Bill" Denney, 85, of Wellston, Ohio, died Wednesday evening, July 7, 1999, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. Born Oct. 22, 1913, in Wellston, he was preceded in death by parents Cecil and Addie Radcliff Denney; wife Regina R. Denney; two sisters, four brothers and one step-brother. He was retired from the Ohio Operating Engineers. He is survived by three sons, Richard R. Denney of Gallion, Ohio; Bill D. Denney and Doug Denney, both of Lake Placid, Fla.; one daughter, Aleeta Potts of Sarasota, Fla.; two sisters, Ellen Martin of Wellston and Mary MacAtee of San Diego, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours were scheduled for Saturday, July 10 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home, Wellston. Funeral services were set for Sunday, July 11 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial in Ridgewood Cemetery.
