Hazel M. Duncan


GLOUSTER -- Hazel M. Duncan, 89, formerly of Glouster, died Tuesday at Hickory Creek Nursing Center in The Plains after an extended illness. Mrs. Duncan spent most of her life in the Trimble Heights area. She was the daughter of the late Rodney and Bertha Collins Phillips and a member of Glouster Church of Christ. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Laverne and Ralph Sanders of Millfield, Barb and Eddie Johnson of Dayton, and Rowena and John Cavey of Winterhaven, Fla.; another daughter Colleen Dunfee of Middleport; six sons and daughters-in-law, Garry and Donna Duncan of Glouster, Rodney and Anna Campbell of Lexington, Ky., George and Violet Duncan of Jacksonville, James and Grace, and Robert and Dorothy Duncan, all of Winterhaven, Fla., and Harold and Glenna Duncan of Fort Myers, Fla.; another son, Larry Duncan of Columbus; a brother, Loren Phillips of Arizona; 28 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Campbell, in 1928; her second husband, Otto Duncan, in 1950; and three brothers. Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Guinther Funeral Home with Tim Seevers officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m.
