Edward Deal


Ed Deal Succumbs To Long Illness At Wellston Home

Edward Deal, who lived all his 70 years in and around Wellston, died Saturday at 10:25 o'clock at his home south of town. He had been ailing a long time. He was born at Lincoln Furnace, seven miles east of Wellston, on June 4, 1873, a son of Gabriel and Almeda Deal. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Bertha Deal; six daughters and two sons, Mrs. Henry Davis and William Deal of Zanesville; Mrs. Howard Burns in Indiana; Mrs. Grover Collins, Mrs. Everett Waugh, Mrs. Edward Rollins and Mrs. Willard Henry and Fred Deal, all of Wellston. There are 42 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Deal was a brother of Mrs. Jemima Jarvis and Maggie Stephenson of Wellston and Mrs. Charles Tolbert of Bay City, Mich. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon from the home, and Rev. Verda Camink conducted the service. Burial was in Ridgeway Cemetery, directed by Simons and Rogers.
