Ann Davis

Mrs. Ann Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William and Catherine Williams, born 02 Oct 1843, Johnstown PA, died September 2, 1909 in Jefferson Township at the age of 65 years, 11 months. Mrs. Davis spent the first 13 years of girlhood in the valley of Conemaugh where she was born. Her family moved to Jackson County in 1857, settling first in the Sardis neighborhood, but moved shortly from there to the village of Oak Hill, where they remained for a few years. Again they moved to Jefferson Furnace and there she spent the greater part of her life. She married 23 May 1866 to Edward D. Davis. She had 9 children, 3 boys and 6 girls (3 girls died in infancy). Surviving: Katharine, Emma, William and David, who still live with their mother. Also John E. Davis of Columbus and Mrs. D.W. Morgan of Jackson. Her husband died in 1882.
