James E. Collins


GLOUSTER -- James E. Collins, 85, of 21 Cherry St., Glouster, died at Mount St. Mary Hospital, Nelsonville, Friday afternoon. He was born in Jackson County, son of the late James J. and Clarinda Anderson Collins. He is survived by his wife, Martha Starcher Collins, and three daughters, Mrs. Audrey Kentner, Troy; Mrs. Clelline Barr, Miamisburg; and Mrs. Esther Turner, Glouster; and a son, James, Miamisburg; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; two step-sons, James and Lowell Russell, Glouster; three step-daughters, Mrs. Maxine Campbell, Murray City; Mrs. Wanda Shepherd, Germantown; and Mrs. Florence Skinner, Glouster; two sisters, Ada Kempton, California; and Mrs. Ella Vernon, Columbus; and 29 step-grandchildren. Services will be Monday, 11 a.m., at the Van Fossen Funeral Home, Glouster, with the Rev. Ivan Pullun officiating. Burial will be in the Glouster Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
