Erma M. Canter

Mrs. Erma M. Canter, age 54, died at 8:45 a.m. Monday at the Holzer Medical Center after an extended illness. Born in Wellston, she was a lifetime resident of the county and resided at 1145 South Michigan Avenue. She was a retired employee of Hercules Trouser Company and attended the Nazarene Church. Daughrer of the late Pearl Walton, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Leona Holtz Walton of Wellston; her husband, Clarence Canter; son Roger and daughter-in-law Barbara, of Chesterville; son Gary and daughter-in-law Teri, of Columbus; three grandchildren, Laura, Randy and Cory Canter, and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Ann Shover, of Romulus, Michigan. Friends may call from 4 to m. Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Chapel. Services will be held there at 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Raymond Stockman officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery.
