David N. Castle


David N. Castle, 71, of Londonderry, died 1:47 a.m. February 3, 2004, in the University of Cincinnati Hospital, following a brief illness. He was born February 20, 1932, in Carter Co., KY, to Hobert and Martha Barker Castle. On July 2, 1955, he married Peg Castle, who died July 26, 1997. Survivors include a daughter, Brenda (James) Madru, Chillicothe; two sons, Randy (Lisa) Castle and Tracy (Shawna) Castle, all of Londonderry; five grandchildren, Matt, Holly, Amanda, Chris and Jordan; a great-grandchild, Alyssa; two sisters, Loretta Sheets, and Emma "Sissy" (Clyde) Fuller, both of Chillicothe; two brothers, Emory (Phyllis) Castle, of Columbus, and Williard (Elvyria) Castle, of Ray. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Mr. Castle was an Army Korean Conflict veteran. He was an avid Southeastern Panther supporter and member of the Southeastern Booster Club. He retired as a pipe fitter from Mead Paper in May of 1994. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, at Haller Funeral Home, with Pastor Woodrow Wilson officiating. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross County Veterans Firing Squad, will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Haller's.
