CHARLES COLLINS IS BURIED SUNDAY IN RIDGEWOOD LOT

Charles N. Collins, who died last Thursday evening [28 April 1949] at 5 o'clock was laid to rest in Ridgewood cemetery Sunday afternoon, after the funeral service was held by Rev. C. A. Walter of the E. U. B. church at the home of Miss Bess Collins, 916 New Hampshire avenue. Mr. Collins was 73 years old. He was born April 9, 1876 and lived all his life in Wellston. He was a son of Jesse and Eliza Yarrington Collins. His wife died 21 years ago, but he leaves six sons and two daughters, Clifford and Everett, Glouster; Clarence of Athens Rt. 4; Ralph, Harry and Robert, Southgate, Calif.; Mrs. Glen Nicholson, Guysville; and Miss Dorothy Collins, Gallipolis. He was the father of ten children, of whom two had died. There are eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was a brother of George, James, Fred and Homer Collins; Mrs. Ella Ingalls, Mrs. Fred Gill, Mrs. Henry Warner and Miss Bess Collins with whom he lived. By trade he was a coal miner, long retired. Simons Service had charge of the funeral.
