Berlie Cross

Rev. James Shady conducted services at 2 p.m. today in Murrary funeral home for Berlie Cross, 78, of Thrifton (Greenfield Rt. 2), and the American Legion accorded military honors at interment in Greenfield cemetery. Mr. Cross died Friday at 6:40 p.m. in Veterans Hospital, Dayton, where he was admitted last Monday. He was a veteran of the Spanish American War and a former employe of the Waddell Co., Inc. A native of Wellston, O., he was born July 10, 1878, a son of William and Alamanda Everetts Cross. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Anna Murphy Cross; a son and four daughters: William at home, Mrs. Robert Zurface, city, Mrs. Richard CherryHolme, Greenfield Rt. 1, Mrs Elwood Everhart, of Bainbridge, and Mrs. Harry Jones, Washington C.H. Rt. 2; 21 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Frank, of Columbus, Charles, of New Martinsburg, William, of Springfield, and James, of Dayton.
