Russel Homer Barbee

Russel Homer Barbee, 63, of 5226 Gaymon Drive, Hilliard, died June 22, in Doctors Hospital Hospital, Columbus. He was born Feb. 27, 1932 in Jackson. He was married to Margaret {Dempsey} Barbee who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Freda Barbee, Chillicothe; two sons, Russel Jr., Logan, Frank, at home; a daughter, Ruth, at home; three grandchildren; the following brother and sisters, Donald Barbee, Chillicothe, Geraldine Hutton, Texas, Irene Spradlin and Imogene Martin, both of Chillicothe, Robert Barbee, Piketon; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts. Mr. Barbee was a graduate of Ohio University, Athens, and Franklin University, Columbus. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and Defense Department. He was a member of the D.A.V. Capital City Chapter III and the American Legion, Jackson. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Eisnaugle-Lewis Funeral Home, Jackson. Burial will follow in Siegler Cemetery, Ross County. Friends may call at the funeral home anytime after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
