Olive G. Boggs


Olive G. Boggs, 85, of Johnstown, died Thursday [27 Jan 2000] at her residence. She was born 14 Aug 1914 in Lewis County KY, the daughter of Walter R. Dillow and Margaret M. Campbell. She was a homemaker and was a member of the True Bible Baptist Church of Marengo. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend James. H. Boggs; daughter, Phyllis Strand; three grandsons and one granddaughter. She is survived by three daughters, Fay Brooks, Columbus, Wilma Stephens, Florida, and Sue (Phillip) Tackett, Johnstown; four sons, Bernie Boggs, Lancaster, James Boggs, Chillicothe, Ronald Boggs, Waverly, and Timothy Boggs, Jackson; five sisters, Jean Brubaker, Gibsonburg, Britain Cooper, Blue Creek, Ida Falls, Wallbridge, Erma Fritz, Gibsonburg, and Juanita Haslinger, Gibsonburg; two brothers, Clyde Dillow, Friendship, and Sidney Dillow, Portsmouth; many nieces and nephews; 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Crouse-Kauber Funeral Home in Johnstown with Reverend James R. Smith and Reverend James Holbrook officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson with graveside services planned for 2 p.m. Monday. Visitation will be 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
