LIVED HERE 44 YEARS

Mrs. Gabe Burns Dies

Attack of Pneumonia is Fatal to Mother of Large Family

Mrs. Martha Burns, for 44 years a resident of Wellston, died at her home on north Railroad ave., Sunday morning after an illness of 10 days with pneumonia. At her bedside were her husband, Gabe Burns, and her children who had been called home. Mrs. Burns was born near Hamden Furnace 70 years ago, her family name being Loving. She was a faithful member of the U. B. church from which funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. W. F. Rutherford officiated. Buried in the Hamden Cemetery beside four babies who died in infancy. Surviving her are her sorrowing husband, the children, Edward, Harry and James of Shelburne, Ind., George of Dayton, an adopted son, Howard of Shelburn, Mrs. Mary Steube of Columbus and Mrs. Bessie Collins of this city. The oldest son died in Dayton seven years ago. Her sisters are Mrs. John Thompson, Hamden, Mrs. Arthur Harper of Ray, and Mrs. James Dean of Walker, W.Va. She also leaves nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
