Delbert Bellomy


Delbert Bellomy, Wellston Druggist Dies Wednesday Morning At Home

Delbert Bellomy, well-known druggist of Wellston died early Wednesday morning at his home at 1002 South Pennsylvania Avenue. He was 60 years old and was found dead in bed at 5 o'clock. He had been in poor health for the past five years and had been seriously ill at home the last two days. Death was due to a heart attack. Mr. Bellomy was born in Wellston June 22, 1903; he was the son of Harvey and Carrie Bellomy. He was a graduate of Wellston High school in the Class of 1923, and received his degree in pharmacy at Ohio Northern in 1927. In 1954, he returned to Wellston and has since owned and operated the Bellomy Drug Store, now located on Second Street. He was a member of the Methodist Church, all the Masonic bodies, a member of the Ohio State Pharmaceutical Association and for the past several years had been secretary-treasurer of the Wellston Alumni Association. Mr. Bellomy was married to Anna Mae Barke of Wellston in 1937. She survives him, as do one brother, Lawrence Bellomy of Wellston, and one sister, Mrs. Ada Cecil of Van Lear KY. Funeral services are in charge of Rogers Mortuary but at this time are incomplete.
