Harold Clinton "Sam" Arthur

Harold Clinton (Sam) Arthur, age 56, of South New York Avenue, died Thursday at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, West Virginia, after a lengthy illness. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the City of Wellston, where he worked 23 years. He was a World War II veteran. Born in Jackson County, August 14, 1927, he was the son of William and Catherine Davis Arthur, both deceased. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Richards Arthur, and seven children: Harold Dale Arthur, of Wellston, Richard Arthur of Marietta; David and Roger Arthur at home; Sherry Arthur of Wellston, and Kirsty and Ginger Arthur, at home. Surviving brothers are W. Kenneth Arthur, Wellston, his twin brother, Gerald Quinton Arthur, Nashville, Tennessee; Glendon Arliss Arthur of Largo, Florida; Eldred Oslar Arthur of California. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Clara Mae Richards, Florida. In addition to his parents, one sister and one grandchild are deceased. Funeral services were conduced at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon
